TNNA
ACQUIRES THE NASHVILLE NEEDLEWORK MARKET
The National
NeedleArts Association Inc., (TNNA) announces the
purchase of the Nashville Needlework Market. The
Nashville Market was established in 1994 by Jo Vincent
Weiss of Needlework Markets Inc. (NMI) and was currently
under the leadership of NMI President Emily Castleberry.
The Market serves as a primary venue for cross-stitch
designers as well as other needle art industry
suppliers.
“This acquisition will allow TNNA to continue its
efforts towards industry unification and better serve
all members and product segments”, said TNNA Executive
Director Patty Parrish. “With the unification of INRG
(The International Needleart Retailers Guild) and TNNA a
couple of years ago, this is a natural next step and we
are pleased NMI offered us this opportunity. We will
work very closely with Emily to make this as seamless a
transition as possible.”
“TNNA is truly the organization to take this market into
a successful future for the entire industry. This will
allow industry members to embark on a journey to unify
the industry as a whole and work together toward the
same goals of growth and prosperity. I am confident that
TNNA and their resources can help realize this vision”,
stated Emily Castleberry.
The 2009 Nashville Needlework Market will be held
February 6-8 at the Embassy Suites Hotel. TNNA will
continue this show in the tradition established by NMI.
Exhibitor information will be mailed in July. More
information will be posted on TNNA’s Website
www.tnna.org as it is available.
TNNA is a non-profit trade organization established in
1974 and is dedicated to the advancement and promotion
of needle arts through trade shows, educational
seminars, special events, public relations and
professional programs that continue to meet the needs of
the industry. |
