Greetings from Georgia! Summer is knocking on our door,
the buzz about Nashville is in the air while planning
begins for another GREAT MARKET! Nostalgia sets in as I
remember driving to Atlanta in the 1970’s for a quaint
little hotel market sponsored by SEYG. Years bring about
many changes – new faces, new friends, new events and
growing out of the hotel setting. With Jo Vincent Weiss
at the helms, Needlework Markets grew with the industry
and together with SEYG, who later became known as INRG,
took our industry to a whole new level of the “trade
show experience” in Convention Centers all over the
United States.
In 1994 Needlework Markets went back their roots and
started The Nashville Needlework Market in the Embassy
Suites Hotel. The market quickly grew going above and
beyond our expectations. Not only offering a venue for
our cross stitch designers, the market has become home
to many other products making this a “must attend”
market for the entire industry.
It is with great pleasure that I announce the sale of
the spectacular Nashville Needlework Market to The
National Needlework Association. After many months of
discussion between our two organizations, TNNA is truly
the organization to take this market into a successful
future for the entire industry. This will allow you to
embark on a journey to unify the industry as a whole.
It’s your time to work together toward the same goals of
growth and prosperity. I am confident that TNNA and
their resources can work with YOU so that everyone can
realize this vision for the future.
The Nashville Needlework Market will be held in the
Embassy Suites Hotel, February 6-8, 2009. Exhibitor
registrations for Nashville will be mailed in July.
Buyer registrations will follow in October/November.
Mark the dates on your calendars now – this will once
again be an event full of excitement, camaraderie. While
TNNA has no plans for major changes to the market this
year, they will have new ideas bringing to you the
wonderful added feelings you get when you start
something new. A combination to make this the BEST
NASHVILLE EVER!
It has truly been a wonderful experience to have worked
with each and every one of you. I have just reached a
place in my personal life where it has become necessary
for me to take a different direction with my family. I
cherish all of the memories. Please know that what I
learned and the people I met over the many years I have
spent in this industry have and will continue to bless
my life.
Sincerely,
Emily Castleberry
